There are some things strutting down the London runway that are pretty impressive/entertaining/inspiring. First of Topshop Unique label keeps on putting out charming little pieces. And their whole look this season was a big hit with me. It’s girly and happy. It’s oversize jackets and body-hugging floor-length dresses. It’s pink and pretty. It’s the awkward girl in high school. It’s the popular girl in high school. AND there are even some military associations to be drawn from in there as well.

Another “HOMERUN” would be Michael Van Der Ham. He is a designer from Holland who JUST graduated from Central St. Martin’s (your safest bet of schools for ripe designers on the runway). His dresses are like collages of fabrics and prints. The mixture of different textures in a single dress has an interesting effect. And the texture also adds to creating different silhouettes, sometimes subtly assymetrical. Van Der Ham adds even more play to the collection by having nude/light tights on the models with stains of glitter, silver and gold. A youngster in the game to keep an eye out for?
