JUSTIN WALDSTEIN / artist
JUSTIN WALDSTEIN is a Brooklyn-based artist with a background in painting, drawing, design, photography, illustration, video and printmaking. He has shown his work in galleries in New York, and has worked as a commercial illustrator, cartoonist, photographer, and graphic designer. A New York City native, his art was influenced during childhood by the science-fiction and monster publications his father designed, and by the artists, dancers, musicians and performers he grew up with in the city. In addition to fine arts, Justin maintained a multi-disciplinary approach in the study of cinema, philosophy, religion, anthropology, history and Russian literature at The New School for Social Research, Parsons School of Design and Hunter College. He works as both fine artist and designer.
