Ann Lewinson

Ann Lewinson’s fiction and poetry have appeared in Agni, Hayden’s Ferry Review, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center’s Special Projects Writers’ Series and many other publications, most recently in an exhibit sponsored by Madad, an artists’ movement for peace based in Alexandria, Egypt. Born in New York and raised in New Jersey, she attended Bard College and the University of Chicago, made experimental films at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is now the film critic for the Hartford Advocate, New Haven Advocate and Fairfield Weekly. She has taught at Kingsborough Community College and has led writers’ workshops for the formerly homeless with the New York Writers Coalition. She is finishing a novel.
